In Asia the U.S. containment strategy turned into many wars like the Korean war that started on June 25, 1950 and ended on July 27, 1953. The Vietnam war that lasted 19 years and ended in 1973. In Europe there were no wars but there were many skirmishes like The Prague spring that was a process of liberization in and mass protest in Czechoslovakia as a Communist state after World War II.
