At that time, the far left leaned toward communistic economic strategy. They advocated for the government to simply take all the resources in the country and distribute it to the people. This killed the economy because people would have no incentives to make invention and advance in a certain area of expertise.

The far right leaned toward anarcho capitalism. They beleived the government should make no intervention and let the economy run by the private sectors. This might cause companies to start doing unfair business practice that hurt a lot of people in society.

FDR new deal program took the middle route. It provided help from the government to the citizens, but those help comes in the form of job opportunities and loan to open new businesses.
