What was the focus on the national association for the advancement of colored people (naacp) during the 1920s and 1930s

The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is one of the oldest and most influential civil rights institutions in the United States. It was founded on February 12, 1909 to fight for the rights of African Americans.

The NAACP fought on two fronts: in education and in judicial matters, such as the lawsuits against the Jim Crow Laws, which deprived blacks of civil rights. In 1915, thanks to the NAACP, the "grandfather's clause" was overturned by the United States Supreme Court. In 1954, the NAACP was already the largest civil rights organization in the world, at that time with half a million members.
