Welcome to Athens! the city of democracy and philosophers.

Come along and discover a city full of history where you can trace the pathway of ancient philosophers and wonder in the same abstractions looking at the blue sky. Think on the School of Athens, which was founded by Plato himself and was devoted to the teachings of philosophy. This city saw the beginning of direct democracy as a form of government practiced its citizens. This would give you a hint of the history behind our streets.

There are plenty of places that you can visit, like the Parthenon, located in the Acropolis in the middle of the city. It was a place built in devotion to Athena, goddess of wisdom, and whose name crowns the city. You can also visit the legendary place of the Oracle of Delphi, which is a two-hour drive northwest of the city.

You can come and enjoy a sunny day wearing casual clothes just like you would wear for the summer. Since we are on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea, we have perfect weather all year long. During your walks along the city, you can have a try of our local cuisine with veggie friendly options like our traditional Greek salads with red tomatoes, olives, feta cheese, and peppers, or try our spanakopita (spinach pie) filled with a mixture of herbs, cheese, and olive oil. Food worthy of the gods of Mt. Olympus.

Come to Athens and have the vacation of a lifetime. A city 3,000 years old supports it.

Welcome, to Sparta, a city filled with life and prosperity. Before we begin this wonderful journey into buoyant city, let me tell you a few important things to know.

First and foremost to know is that Sparta is settled in the Taygetan Valley. Protected by mountains and surrounded by the beautiful Eurotas River, in Laconia, this wonderful city was founded, according to myth, by Lacedaemon, the king of Laconia and the city itself was given the name of Sparta in honor of Lacedaemon´s wife. Whether this is true or not, Spartan life began almost during the Neolithic period, according to pottery found in the region, and it was further settled into by a group called the Dorians, who literally invaded and took over.

Sparta is a really interesting city, but its main strength is not in its beauty or cultural advancement, but rather its military prowes. However, this does not mean that it does not offer culturally interesting sites. In fact, when you come, you are welcome to visit the famous Theater, with Mount Taygetus in the back, or the Tomb of Leonidas, the brave king of Sparta who confronted the invasion of the Persians at the famous Battle of Thermopylae.

As for clothing and food, you must always know that we Spartans prefer olives, we are famous for them and olive oil and also foodstuffs produced from barley, cheese grains, figs and wine. As for dress, unless going into battle, we use a tunic, called a Doric, made from a square cloth, usually painted red, or crimson as it is considered our favorite color. We also wear sandals for footwear and boots when in winter or going into war.
