The caste system of India affected India in different ways.

The caste system allowed a correct treatment in different classes. Relationships between people were fair.

The system created a solid structure in society for the people to be treated right.

It developed and dignify equity among men and women. Both genders were treated with the same respect.

The caste system displayed the possibility of specialization of jobs, taking into consideration the skills of the people.  

A final consideration is that this system facilitated the political participation of the society.

Originally, the four basic castes in India were the Brahmins(teachers and priest), the Kshatryas(rulers and warriors), Vaishyas(farmers and ommerce people), and Shudras(workers).
