Divine right of kings is a doctrine in politics where monarchs exert an absolute power on its reign supported in the belief that the king derived its authority from God. That meant that the king was not held accountable for his actions and people needed to obey blindly.

The origins of Divine right comes from the medieval times in Europe and were comparable to the hierarchy of the church.

Constitutionalism is a political philosophy that established that the authority of the government stems from the people and it is limited by the law in the constitution.

Constitutionalism really influences the most on the formation of the United States of America, and originally was inherited by the British Carta Magna.

Some of the constitutions that were taken in consideration to form the actual constitution were the constitution of Delaware(1776), Maryland(1776),  and New Hampshire(1777).

American constitutionalism helped too in the formation of new states like Hawaii and Alaska, as well as the consolidation of other democracies in the world.
