Landmark: The Statue of Liberty in New York, since itâs one of the most iconic and recognized landmarks of the American culture. It was a gift from France to the US in 1886. Itâs made of copper and it represents a woman in a robe named: Libertas, who was a Roman Liberty goddess. It shows the peak of American society through the development of urban areas and the accelerated growth of the cities from this region. Â
West:
1. It has the most beautiful beaches as well as huge mountains in the US.
2. Some states are located next to the Pacific Ocean: California, Oregon and Washington.
3. Wyoming is the least populated state in contrast to the most populated one which is California.
4. It has several large cities: Los Angeles (The 2nd largest city after New York), San Diego, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Denver and Portland.
5. The film industry has its location here in the city of Hollywood.
6. Las Vegas is considered the Live Entertainment Capital of the World for its many activities such as casino-hotels, museums, galleries and other events. Â
7. Lots of Native American tribes lived in this area and they still survive nowadays.
8. Its climate is varied depending on the state and the season: It can be cold, hot dry, semi-arid or arid. Â
Landmark: The Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, which connects the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula with the Marin County. Itâs considered one of the Wonders of the Modern World since itâs a structure that shows the evolution of architecture and engineering in the US.
