The interchangeable parts allowed for a much faster way to repair, manufacture and produce more guns, cars, and parts for other things. they allowed for a rifle to be repaired without having to replace the whole thing as with many other things. before interchangeable parts, things where all unique and needed to be properly fixed by a skilled artisan. hope i helped ^-^
