Right now I'm studying the Bible and it would be good for me to answer the question. So here we go.

Biblical References.
The first thing you have to do is not start with Marx and Engles. You have to deal with the Biblical Principles because that is your point of view. Everyone of the verses have to be accounted for. If they say much the same thing, then you can go onto Marx and Engles without any hesitation. If they don't then you have to categorize each of the references so you know what points of view these references take.

Listing
Exodus 20: 15 and 17. These two are part of the 10 commandments. They have to do with individual moral behavior. 15: Don't steal. 17: Don't covet anything belonging to someone else.

Romans 1:29 - 31: These verses have to do with unrighteous ungodly people who routinely disobey all the laws of God and to some extent man. But the sins have to do with individuals and not society

Romans 5:11- 13: These verses have to do with the nature of sin and where it came from. It is a disease inherited from the first 2 human being. They brought death into the world so all of us a to suffer the same fate. This the first mention of something that could be called social. Verse 12 is especially useful.

Romans 13:1 - 7 Now you are getting into the heart of Marx and Engles. They are primarily concerned with social organization and how one type of organization will benefit all mankind. This is the first section that you should start with. Many people who are very religious stumble over the fact that we should be obedient to the government that rules us (in a society). Yet here it is in the Bible, and it is so clear (especially the version of the Bible I use). 6 and 7 stray a bit from the point, because Marx and Engles were not primarily concerned with a taxation system as such. They were concerned with using labor as a currency. But as a Biblical Principle 6 and 7 are invaluable.

Also useful is verse 5 which makes note of the power of civil authorities and how they can have an effect on our lives.

Ecclesiastes 3:1,8
Everything that happens in the world happens at a time that God chooses. We are predestined is what I think the point is.
He sets the time for birth and death.
He sets the time for love and the time for hate. The time for war and the time for peace. 

Marx and Engles.
What they proposed was that a government based on labor and sharing. No one takes out of the pot that which is more than anyone else takes out providing they have done what is fair to do for their share.  The engineer who designs a bridge gets the same wage as the worker who builds the bridge. That wage is determined by the gross income of the society in total. As a consequence, that government does not have to set up punishments because it is a just government whose laws prove to be just and fair based on the individual. 

By that I mean if the individual is content with his pay for his labor, then he will not break the Laws of Exodus. Nor will he engage as much inn the sinful activities described in Romans or Ecclesiastes. If the individual is freed from the need to sin, then the society will also be sinless. 

It was a grand experiment, unfortunately doomed to failure because man responds in accordance with his own needs and that which will benefit his own self interest. There is something much deeper in all of us that makes the utopia of Marx and Engles almost impossible. 

That's why so much of the Old Testament in particular deals with individual behavior. In order to control the society, you have to be able to control the individual. 

What I've written should at least get you started. It's a study well worth making.  Any study that shines a light on our psychologies is well worth the time we put into it.
