What are two ways the bill of rights opposes the idea of the divine right of kings?

one way in which the bill of rights opposes the idea of divine right of kings is that the powers of the king are limited. he is not permitted to maltreat his subjects by being cruel to them or imposing heavy taxes. by so doing, the people had a right to be listened to and not just the king making decisions on his on.

another way is that the king in his capacity is not supposed to mess with the religious beliefs of people or the entire church since he is not a supreme leader of the church. therefore, his role as a king is more political than religious.

the bill of rights holds the following truths: that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their creator with rights such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness and   that whenever any government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to abolish it, and to institute a new government.

2. pursuit of happiness. is another way the bill of rights opposed the idea the king has divine rights therefore the power to refuse the administration of justice; refusing assent to laws for the public good.

the bill of rights states that when a long train of abuses and usurpations evidences a design to reduce equality under absolute despotism, it is people’s   duty   to throw off such government because   the creator has bestowed all with the right to pursuit their wellbeing.
