The CFPB and the FTC are both government agencies that protect consumer rights 

The CFPB is responsible for rule-making, supervision, and enforcement of Federal consumer financial protection laws and restricting unfair, deceptive, or abusive acts or practices against consumers.

The FTC  is an independent agency of the United States government, established in 1914 by the Federal Trade Commission Act. They are responsible in the promotion of consumer protection and the elimination and prevention of anti-competitive business practices, such as coercive monopoly.
