Emotional intimacy is an essential quality or skill for a healthy relationship in partners or couples. Emotional intimacy is an ability where one shows how much they care and love each other by sharing feelings and trust.

It helps in building trust in a relation, communicating, a feeling of love, support, and security in the relationship with each other.  Lacking emotional intimacy can lead to a loss of closeness in the relationship of individual couples.
