As a medical assistant, what do you say to a patient to dispel fears or concerns over receiving an x-ray? identify common myths and concerns and then use facts to communicate to the patient to assure and provide confidence.

It might be very important to confort the patient to explain him/her what X ray is. how you are going to do it and why. Explain the patient what the results are going to show. give time to get ready and prepare. Guide the person slowly in the preparations process, step by step for him/ her to calm down. 
It is said that the word "radiation" causes fear not only in patients but also in their families and friends. So a clear communication between the professional and the patient is fundamental to proceed with the exams calmly and let the patient be informed  correctly.
