Repressing unwanted emotions.
When you visit a counselor, or Phychologist, they always want you to explore your feelings, they want you to realize your negative impulses, and they most definitely want you to realize your potential, but by no means do they ever want for you to push your feelings away. Feelings are raw, and natural, and a Psychologist, studies that, studies our brains, and how emotions affect everything.

So in short, your Psychologist does everything EXCEPT REPRESS UNWANTED EMOTIONS.

They always want you to talk about your feelings, not push them away.

Repress means to push away, or ignore.
