Furthermore, the Centers for  Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has an oversight function over health related products or plans such as;

Prescription drug plans (PDPs).  Medicare advantage (MA). Medicare-Medicaid Plans (MMPs). Medicare advantage prescription drug (MA-PD) plan.

In this scenario, a retiree named Mrs. Burton enrolled in a Medicare advantage prescription drug plan (MA-PD) plan.  

However, when she felt ill she was informed by her primary care physician that she would have to wait for five (5) weeks before she gets an appointment. Consequently, Mrs. Burton was disappointed with the poor access to care (service), lack of timeliness for appointments and as such reached out for an advice.

As an advice or suggestion, I would tell her she could file a petition with the Centers for  Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) stating the poor access to care and lack of timeliness in getting an appointment with her primary care physician under the Medicare advantage prescription drug (MA-PD) plan.
