Tennis demands the mastery of a variety of skills in order to compete, but the serve is the most important skill to acquire in order to win. Because it is the only time a player gets to bring the ball into play, the serve is the major offensive weapon utilized in tennis.

The ball's speed, placement, and spin are all controlled by the player. The serve can help the server win a lot of points and games if it is done correctly. The server should hold the racket in his or her right hand while keeping his or her right arm straight and toward the ground. The racket hand should be pointing toward the net.
