Why is it hard to let go?

Because letting go feels like it is such a big thing and it is an hard thing to do.

Letting go is hard because it means that you need to free yourself from some aspects of your past. Things that have become a part of yourself – of what makes you who you are today. Most people understand this as getting rid of that 'thing' resulting to a change in who you are. You can find letting go to be scary.

People are afraid of feelings such as grief, anger, disappointment, or sadness. Rather than feeling them, people just try to shut them out, which can disrupt the process of letting go.

well i’m not to well in health but if the body produces more standard fat then the fat will convert most of it into energy and give all the muscles nutrients (sorry if it was wrong
