Write a statement demonstrating your understanding of the population, their challenges, their mental health needs, and some of the common mental health illnesses they suffer from. Be sure to explain why you are interested and inspired to work with the population. Statement must contain at least 500 words.
Statement should contain the following:

Briefly describe the population you selected.
Describe the challenges and mental health challenges they face.
Identify and describe some of the common mental health illnesses suffered by the population.
Discuss why you chose and are inspired to work with the population you selected.
