You must call your manager about your health when you have dark tea colored urine and yellowing skin.

Mostly, dark urine is a sign of dehydration. Dehydration occurs when the body lacks sufficient water. It could also means there are dangerous waste product moving around your body.

Also some food and drinks can change the color of urine to be dark. Eating rhubarb can turn individual urine color to dark brown.

Drug such as chloroquine, metronidazole, primaquine and nitrofurantoin can change the color of urine to dark brown.

Urinary tract infection can also change the color of urine to dark brown. When bacteria gains entry into the bladder it results to urinary tract infection (UTIs). Though it most common in women than men. This infection is also known as cyst or bladder infection.

Rehydration therapy may be necessary for people that are suffering from dehydration. Rehydration therapy is the process whereby oral rehydration salt and electrolytes is administered to a patient.  

However, dark urine that is caused by food, drink or medicine is usually not something to worry about.  When the person no longer consumes what causes the urine to change its color, the urine will revert back to its normal color.
