Why might an individual stop payment on check?

A common reason would be because the check was stolen, or lost, and fraudulently used.  The real owner can stop payment on the check for a small fee rather than possibly have the check go through for much more. 

Tbh i think it’s an odd coincidence, maybe you “predicted the future” it’s happened to me before but i wouldn’t doubt it if you did but i hope you have fun
