Describe the key factors in correcting a poor decision

We can all make a wrong decision in our lives. When this happens the most important thing is to acknowledge that you have made a mistake, not to try to blame people who are not to blame, to take responsibility for your mistake, and to bear the consequences of your bad decision. However, in some situations, some steps may be taken to correct a bad decision, such as:

Don't bet on your instincts: A common mistake, when making decisions as well as correcting them, is simply to bet on your instinct. In that case, it's easy for you to act on impulse for no reason, or even fall into the gambler's fallacy, that you simply rely on past results to make future decisions. You must reason, think, plan and evaluate how to resolve the situation. Run for information: To correct a decision, we need to gather as much information on the subject as we can to make the right choices this time around. The more external sources, especially experts, the more accurate their actions. That's because to make better decisions, and fix our mistakes, we must research, debate, check results, among other things.
