Yes, all lives matter. However, people say All Lives Matter as a response to Black Lives Matter and I strongly disagree with that. Saying "All Lives Matter" to "Black Lives Matter" is actually more divisive than unifying. The point of saying Black Lives Matter is to draw attention to the violence and discrimination Black individuals face every day in this country. If I cut my knee, you're not going to get the band-aid. Yes, both of our knees matter, but my knee needs the band-aid. White supremacy is a real thing, and so is systematic racism. If you say "All Lives Matter", you're part of the problem. This is a slogan and a social movement in response to racism and violence perpetuated against Black people.
