How would life be different without short term memory?

Short-term memory allows:

-temporarily storing information,
-continue at the same time to perform certain activities.

Example: short-term memory is the one that is used to remember where you put your towel when you went to bathe during your vacation. Therefore this information, when used, is deleted, so as not to clutter the brain unnecessary information!
