Let’s say that you are angry. You’ve always been angry your entire life and haven’t really been able to deal with it well. Going online and playing games is the only thing that seems to help, but after “talking back” you get everything taken away for a month. All you did was respond with a slight tone because you were tired. Reasonably, this makes you even more mad, and you get worked up. Seeing you are mad, your parents take it away for twice the amount it was already taken. How do you calm down in this situation and how do you barter with your parents to convince them of a shorter time

You should go take a few minutes to calm down in your room. Just take a few minutes and think about what you are going to say. Maybe try to explain to them about the games helping you in a different kind of way. See if you can make an arrangement with them, a negotiation. For example, if you do something for an entire week to their satisfaction, you can have it back for at least an hour every day, or you can have it 3 hours on Saturday, etc. You have to take baby steps though, and show them that you can handle whatever they give you in the sense of how much time they might give you for example. I know that it may be hard to control your anger, just see if you can ease into a negotiation convo with them and see how it goes. If they still say no, then try not to get to mad because maybe they will come around. Especially if you make a good suggestion. But then again, it all depends on you and your parents, i make no promises.
