Athletes have certain advantages and respect and when steroid cases are discovered, people often look at them with some pity and even provide support in the face of a difficult situation. Someone who uses another type of illicit drug can be seen as bad.

In general, I think that a person who is caught using any type of drug should be helped and not focus so much on criticism. When there is illegal substance use, it is due to factors that are often ignored by the population.
