Well you should be aware when another friend or student may have a mental issue and you can do this by: Noticing drastic personality changes, seeing changes invoice, replies starting to be unsure, etc, etc...

If a friend starts having specific symptomes, I personally would comfort them the best I can, see whats wrong and depending on what is causing the mental illness i will//won't tell someone. For example, if they are being mentally, physically, sexually, or emotionally abused and they do not want to tell anyone, I will be forced into calling the cops or telling someone capable of helping. If the student is going threw things like self abuse or bullying they may not want to tell anyone, knowing they will be "integrated" so, I will do my best to help them myself, if I cannot that's when I would get more help.
