A feeling of sadness and depression prevail here and the individual dissociate self from the situation or things. This depression is not pathologic but represent advancement towards resolution or acceptance of the reality.

5. Acceptance: this stage is a stage of peaceful feeling as regards to the situation. The individual has come to accept the reality of the situation and looks for strategies to cope. It is a time of quiet expectation and resignation to the situation
