In serious matter, release of such information can be considered a serious crime and severe penalty is given to the person who commits such a crime. There are different measures which can be taken to prevent the release of information. For example, the health care system uses the HIPPA policy to prevent disclosure of information about the people under a health care system. Severe penalties are also a policy used to stop the release of information.
