I don't know enough about the American Health care system to give an answer to this. He is being treated as an outpatient. That's likely not an emergency situation.

I have no idea what a convenient care clinic is. Reading  a description of one, I don't think grandpa would trust such a place. They are going to be using very sophisticated equipment on him and I wouldn't want just anyone shoving a camera down my throat if it were me.

Are clinics equipped to handle such conditions in the United States? Some might be but the equipment is pretty sophisticated. I wouldn't think a clinic would be the place to go.

I can't see anything to choose but the emergency room, but in Canada, it would hardly qualify.
