1. Use five senses

Make details thoroughly description by using five senses: what does the object look like, smell like, how does the object sound like? how does it feel when you touch it? Is it taste good or not? A good description should answer all this question.

2. Use figurative language

A figurative language such as metaphor, simile, personification makes your description more fun and interesting.  

3. Use precise language

Use specific adjective and noun, and also a strong verb. For example, instead of using the word 'nice' which is general, you can use the word 'delicious' for food.

4. Organize the description  

Make sure the details flow logically as you are describing it. Using a chronological or narrative order would be good.
