Fats are components of 20 to 30% of the diet, the largest source of energy for the body. Each 1g provides 9 Kcal. They help in absorbing fat soluble vitamins A, D, E and K. They can be broken down into good fats and bad fats so be careful when consuming them.

Protein makes up 15-20% of the diet. Larger structural components of cells in the human body. Proteins are important for tissue building and maintenance, enzyme formation, hormones, antibodies, and energy supply. Each 1g provides 4 Kcal. They are present in: meat, poultry, fish, eggs, milk, cheese, yogurt, soy, legumes (beans, lentils, peas, chickpeas) and sausages / cold cuts.
