One hand should remain closed over the so-called “mouth of the stomach” (epigastric region). The other hand should compress the first, while pushing the “mouth of the stomach” in and up as if to lift the victim off the ground. Make inward and upward compression movements (such as a letter "J") until the victim eliminates the foreign body  which is causing the choking.
