What parts of canada appear to have relatively few resources?

One part of Canada that has relatively few resources and is considered a 'have-not' area is the Maritimes ie New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI. While there have been some exceptional mines like the zinc Brunswick Mine in New Brunswick and the Cape Breton coal mines in Nova Scotia these are the exceptions. Compared to say British Columbia and Ontario where there are many significant metallic mines like Highland Valley Copper and Copper Mountain and the ex Kimberley Mine and Ontario with mines like Sudbury nickel and the silver at Cobalt and the Kidd Ck Mine at Timmins they just don't have a large number of significant mines. Also BC and Ontario have significant forest resources.

Humid continental climate is found in the interior of continents between the 30 and 60 degrees latitude, but usually above the 40 degree line.   40 degrees north of the equator means less direct sunlight and therefore less warmth.   this climate is mainly found in the northern hemisphere since there are no major landmasses in the southern hemisphere.  if you live in northern indiana, you know all about humid continental because that is the climate type you have!
