Why are the appalachian mountains not as high as the himalayan mountains even though they were formed in the same way?

The Appalachians are way older than the Himalayas.  The Appalachians have been worn down year after year from erosion but at some point in time the Appalachian mountains and the Himalayas were the same height! The Himalayas are still growing to this day because india is moving north ward.  Once india disappears then the forces of erosion will be great and powerful and then suddenly the Himalayas will be as big as the Appalachian mountains

The scientist can conclude that there is a decrease in the natural resources due to human activities. because of innovation and modernization of the environment, then there goes pollution and other bad effects that destroys the natural resources.
