1) We all know that the world's 2nd highest mountain is K2 or Godwin-Austen. It's famous nickname: The Savage Mountain.

The reasons that makes the K2 world's most dangerous mountain, they are:

It's geographical locationExtremely elevated regionCold stream winds Temperature is too low Oxygen level drops K2's altitude is 8,611 metres above from sea level. it's has more steeper slopes compared to the Mt. Everest. Height also plays role but more importantly steepness of the slope is the most challenging factor that makes climbers to do this difficult trekking over more than 6000 metres elevated snowy barren region.

2) Highest Mountain is measured above from the sea level which is known as altitude ( or ) height of the mountain whereas Tallest mountain is measured from the base to peak.
