Atmospheric scientists study the weather and climate, and how it affects human activity and the earth in general.

The scientific study of the atmosphere is meteorology, the study of the stars and everything beyond our atmosphere is astronomy, the study of life on earth is biology. There are more but i just gave you the most common ones.
