In 2 ways how does proximity to water affect climate

Large bodies of water such as oceans, seas, and large lakes affect the climate of an area. Water heats and cools more slowly than land. Therefore, in the summer, the coastal regions will stay cooler and in winter warmer. A more moderate climate with a smaller temperature range is created.

Two ways in which the proximity to water can affect climate:

1)  Lack of mountain area cannot protect it from the Sea, so it becomes larger in amount, can lead to major flood.

2) Proximity of water can lead to wet cool summers and wet, mild winters, which is major disturbance in weather.
