As isobars are represented by the pressure pattern of the area, in an area of the closely spaced isobars the pressure is high as compared to the far spaced isobars that have a low pressure as the flow of the winds is clockwise around the pressure areas the winds blow from the west to the east and thus push the weather system to the east. As the pressure gradient causes the winds to blow or the high to the low and low to high price areas so as the greater or more pressure gap will result in more intensity of the stormy weather. As we move away from the spacing of the isobars that are toward the east the winds speed slowly decreases.
