How would the oceans change if they were no longer connected?

1. Their names would change.  
2. New land will be created. (Most likely an island)

: The water would no longer get cold enough to sink, and the ocean circulation would decrease and water levels would drop.

It is the doctrine that the us had the right and duty to expand throughout north america. it just means they believed they had the right to expand westward and they did! they stated with the 13 colonies and then they kept moving gaining different territories throughout the years
