A country with a low annual income might not be able to buy imported goods because they are too expensive. If a developing country has a large population, they may not be able to afford food for everyone to eat. A family in a developing country may also depend on farming on their own to grow their food. Whereas developed countries can get imported goods and have largely sustained farms, factories, and cattle for food. All of this can be sold in stores for people to buy and use. This means that even if the population is large, people that can afford it can go to the store and get food. All of this has an effect on diet and food consumption. If you can afford to buy food to meet your dietary needs, your diet will be very restricted and you may not get all of the nutrients you need.
