If a family does not recycle properly, or does not recycle at all, that family is hindering sustainable development.

Showers that are too long - very long showers do not help sustainable development because they are a waste of water. If the shower is warm or hot, the problem is worse because there is also excessive consumption of electricity or gas.

Too much use of heating or air conditioning - air conditioning and heating should only be used when absolutely necessary (when it is too hot or too cold).
