There are many different types of maps, and each one serves a specific purpose. The information shown on a map gives the reader a greater understanding of the area presented. Some of the most
well-known and most often used maps are physical maps, topographical maps, climate maps, and
population maps. In one paragraph, using your own words, choose one of these types of map, and
explain when and how that map could be put to use. Be sure to include a clear description of what
kind of information would be found on that map, and realistic examples of how it would be used.
