A scientist had a terrarium with one snake inside. The terrarium had glass walls so light could get in, but it was closed so the snake could not get out. In addition to the snake, there were
also several plants and a miniature waterfall. When the scientist turned the terrarium's light
on, carbon in the air started decreasing faster. Why did carbon start to decrease faster?
Explain where the carbon went and how it cycled through the terrarium.
