When material reaches coastline, sediments are deposited along the coastline.

Explanation:

The process of movement of deposits along the line of the coast is called "longshore drift". If the wind carries the sediments or the particles to the beach, then waves break at the shore and when the water moves back into the sea it carries the deposits back down the beach. A zigzag motion is produced, and sediment is transported along the coastline. There might also be small particles deposited at the coast. This results in change of shape of the beaches over time.
