Located in the pacific ocean this area receives heavy weather events like a hurricane and other frequent storms. Also, its located near the pacific ring of fire thus dotted by earthquakes. Being a hotspot it has rich biodiversity of flora and fauna. It has around 15 states. El Salvador was the first country to ratify free trade agreements in the central America Dominican republic. The country has good balance of trade and good social security system.  El salvadorians are also called as "guanacos".
