The gender, ethnicity, and sexuality are elements of cultural identity among the people. The part of the geography that would have interest in this is the human geography. This part of the geography is interested in the human societies, their characteristics, their activities, their mutual influence with the environment, their distribution etc. In order to come to proper information about all these things, the human geographies often use statistics. By making statistics about every individual thing that this part of geography is interested into, lot of useful data is accumulated. The gender is very important, and the statistics about it show how much of the population is male and how much female, which can be crucial for the development of a nation and the direction in which it should move. The ethnic composition too is crucial when planning, as different ethnic groups have different qualities, different preferences, different cultures, so lot of things need to be adjusted to it. The sexuality is something that has been of bigger interest in more recent times, and while it may not influence the development of the country, it is very important to have information about it because lot of people that don't have traditional sexual roles tend to attacked and discriminated against, so it is useful to stop that.
