If you try to go near to a blackhole, when you are at more distance, you will get ripped apart slowly but as you go very close to it, you will be torn instantly. But it also depends upon size of a black hole. If the black hole is big enough like a star, you will be ripped apart soon suddenly, even before reaching the event horizon.

Singularity -

Singularity lies at the center of the black hole whose space is extremely small but mass is extreme.
