Explanation:

Asteroids are the rocky materials that remained after the formation of our solar system. They are of variable size and are present in the asteroid belt that lies between the inner terrestrial and outer Jovian planets. There are about millions of asteroids and they collide with one another frequently.

These asteroids sometimes enter the earth's atmosphere that can cause tremendous destruction. In the past, numerous asteroidal impacts have taken place as a result of which the different species of life had affected. On earth, a good number of asteroids are found. Some of them are yet to be explored.
