When I woke up, I realized that I had fainted, and that the room was dark now. I was alone, and the only light you could see was the moon, far and cold. I got up from the wooden floor, which was slippery. That is when I realized the room was wet, and looking towards the window, I saw that the glass had shattered into a million pieces, all lying around me, most likely due to the strong rain that was still falling on the dark and gloomy road that led to the farm. The window seemed to symbolize to me everything I had lost. I was alone, my love gone, my parents gone, no hope left for me on this Earth, and the window seemed to remind me how my life would never be the same.
