Some abnormal sort of thunder? Nay, 'twas not, for the heavens were clear of any clouds or obscuration of any sort. The road? No, we were hundreds of kilometers away from the road. The seas, perhaps? But no, this ominous sound came not from any natural, worldly being or phenomenon. Rather, as it was soon revealed by the stark green eyes and pallid white face that were closing in on us, the sound came from the abhorred diabolical creature!
